This year at Lime Street, we are excited to announce that we are going to continue the "Brilliant Bear Club" (BBC). If you are new to our school, the "Brilliant Bear Club" is a program that rewards students who are safe, respectful, and responsible. In the BBC, students will be gathering dogtags, just like our Accelerated Reader (AR) program. Every seventh week (week after the Benchmark testing), students will receive a dogtag if they do/have the following: *No office referrals *No more than 3 pink slips from proctor to teacher *No more than 3 absences *No more than 3 tardies *No more than 3 early outs *Complete 90% of their homework *Complete 90% of their classwork (to the best of their ability) Not only do the students receive a cool dogtag, the child will also get to participate in a special activity on designated Fridays. These activities will only be for those that have received the dogtag by following our school rules: BE SAFE, BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE Some of the possible activities for the BBC are listed below: -Academic game time -Arts and crafts -Snacks -Chalk on blacktop -Special assemblies -Rated G movie -Outside p.e. game -Newspaper recognition -Picture in primary pod -Picture in yearbook Fortunately, a student has a "fresh start" after each round of dogtags is over. This means that even if your child doesn't make it on one round, continue to encourage your child to do their best. Keep up the good work! |
