| Maple offers a variety of after school enrichment activities. | |
Chess Club: A challenging opportunity where students can learn a new game where strategy is King. Students will learn the basics of chess, common chess openings and strategy. Chess Club meets every Friday from 4-5 pm. Grades 4-6. Dance Club: Students have the opportunity to learn dance technique in disciplines such as ballet, tap, and jazz. In addition, students increase flexibility and endurance through stretch routines and fun hip-hop combinations. Dance Club meets on Mondays for grades 1-3 from 3-4 pm and on Tuesdays for grades 4-6 from 3-4 pm. Math Maniacs: Math Maniacs meets on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3-4 pm for sixth grade. Soccer Club: Soccer Club meets on Monday from 4-5 pm. Softball Club: Softball Club meets on Monday and Thursday from 3-4 pm. The softball program is now transitioning from drills and activities to learn new skills into refining their skills in game situations. The players are putting all their hard work together to scrimmage against each other. They are combining all the skills they have been practicing over the last 4 months into live game situations. It sure is exciting to watch! FLAIR: An exciting after-school academy that involves teachers working closely with in Reading and Language with students. Flair is open to 1st through 6th grade students.
