Hesperia Unified School District

Residents of the Hesperia Unified School District have the opportunity to enroll their child(ren) in a school outside his/her assigned attendance area through the Open Enrollment program. Open enrollment applications are accepted during open enrollment periods at your school of choice, unless one or more of the following conditions exist:

Elementary Schools

It would result in the displacement of students who reside in the school's boundaries by transferees from outside the school's boundaries.
It would cause the school to exceed class size average established by the District for each school OR to exceed maximum class size established by the Class Size Reduction Program for Kindergarten through third grade.
It would cause a negative impact on the racial and ethnic balance of the school's population.

Secondary Schools

It would result in the displacement of students who reside in the school's boundaries by transferees from outside the school's boundaries.
It would cause the school to exceed class size average established by the California State Education Code (E.C. 41376) OR to exceed the maximum capacity established by the District for each school.
It would cause a negative impact on the racial and ethnic balance of the school's population.
